here are two felt ornaments i made for my little tree while i was watching the waltons. i really like how the cookie turned out but the santa one feels a little sloppy. i don't hate it tho. i learned how to do the blanket stitch. i still need to decide on a ribbon to hang them up with.

(almost) completed:

i really wanted a way to collect all of those cozy pinterest quotes without having hundreds saved in my camera roll. i don't keep pinterest on my phone, but i often found myself looking back through my camera roll when i was overwhelmed and just flipping through reassuring quotes/sayings. i made this book to fit in my purse so i can always have it near me. i just need to paste all the quotes in now...i've been doing 4 per page and i try to keep matching colors on each spread if possible.

this was the first notebook i've made since i found an interest in bookbinding (not counting the horrors i binded together when i was 7 lol). this was one of those "i wonder if i can.." type of projects where you 100% wing it with almost zero prior knowledge. it's definitely rough, but i'm still surprised it turned out as well as it did. my biggest issue with it (as with the others i've made) is the inside covers. they always seem to turn out pretty messy, but it could be the glue i'm using. i'm not entirely finished with it yet, so maybe i can still make it a little neater. it serves as a scrapbook/junk journal so we'll just say the messiness is part of the charm...
