i started listening to audiobooks this year and i love them sm!! i still prefer to read a physical book, but audiobooks are so perfect for when i'm in the car, craving the comfort of books. my reading habits are very inconsistent, i go through phases of reading multiple books a week and then not reading for a month haha. please note that i am reflecting on some of these books almost a year later, so i apologize if i misremember details. i also gave up on star ratings halfway through the year, so i probably won't include those for the mostpart.

this is a modern retelling of "jane eyre" (which i love!) that i received for xmas last year. i remember thinking it was a cute romance book and i liked the character's personality. i think the character based off mr. rochester was much nicer in this, so that was a definitely a positive haha. i enjoyed how the characters representing jane eyre and mr. rochester's personalities didn't feeling like exact copies of them. characters are influenced by their time period, so i was happy they didn't feel like victorian characters copied and pasted into a modern story if that makes sense??? (bare with me, i ramble sometimes)
